Comprehensive Terms of Service

By using Laundry Central’s self-service, drop-off, pickup & delivery, or commercial laundry services, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms of Service.


1. Service Minimums & Pricing Policy

1.1 Laundry Pickup & Delivery Service

All residential pickup and delivery orders are subject to a mandatory $45.77 minimum charge, covering up to 23 lbs at our standard rate of $1.99 per pound. Orders weighing less than 23 lbs will still be billed at the $45.77 minimum.

Promotional discounts apply only to Pickup & Delivery Laundry Service for standard weighed laundry. Discounts are calculated on the portion of the order exceeding the 23 lb minimum weight requirement. Discounts do not apply to:

  • In-store wash, dry & fold services
  • Minimum order charges
  • Bulky or oversized items priced per item
  • Add-on or specialty services (including upcharges, hanging or special handling)
  • Taxes, fees, or surcharges

Laundry Central reserves the right to modify or discontinue promotions at any time. Promotional discounts cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.

1.2 Drop-Off Wash-Dry-Fold Service

Drop-off orders at our facility located at 622 Central Avenue are subject to a $22.50 minimum, covering up to 15 lbs at $1.50 per pound.

1.3 Commercial Scale Finality

All billing is based solely on the weight recorded by Laundry Central’s commercial-grade digital scales upon processing. Customer estimates, residential scales, or pre-weighing are not valid for billing adjustments.

1.4 Wet or Damp Laundry

This policy applies to both Pickup & Delivery services and In-Store Wash, Dry & Fold services.

Laundry received in a wet or damp condition will be weighed exactly as presented at the time of intake. No deductions, adjustments, or credits will be applied for excess moisture content.

Wet or damp items may present additional sanitation concerns, including potential mildew development, odor retention, and increased handling requirements. These items may require extended drying time, specialized processing, and additional utilities to ensure proper cleaning standards are maintained.

Laundry that arrives wet may require separation and extended drying cycles, which can affect standard turnaround times.

All applicable charges will be based on the full intake weight, regardless of moisture level. Laundry Central is not responsible for odors, mildew, or damage resulting from pre-existing moisture conditions present at the time of intake.

We strongly recommend that customers ensure all laundry is fully dry prior to drop-off or pickup whenever possible to support accurate processing, hygiene standards, and efficient turnaround times.

Additionally, we recommend selecting our Laundry Sanitizer add-on for items that are damp, heavily soiled, or odor-prone. Standard processing includes detergent and fabric softener; however, sanitizer treatment provides enhanced odor control and deeper hygienic cleaning for laundry requiring extra care.

1.5 Special Items

Comforters, sleeping bags, rugs, oversized items, heavily soiled items, and specialty fabrics may incur additional fees. Final pricing is determined upon inspection.

1.6 Price Changes

Laundry Central reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Updated pricing will be reflected in-store or online prior to service.

1.7 Service Timeline Disclaimer

Estimated turnaround times are not guaranteed and may vary based on volume, staffing, weather, equipment availability, or operational conditions.


2. Payment Terms & Authorization

2.1 Payment & Authorization

All orders are subject to pricing based on intake weight, item count, service type, and any selected add-ons.

Customers authorize Laundry Central to charge the payment method on file for all services rendered, including adjustments made after intake (e.g., weight corrections, specialty cleaning, or add-on services).

Payment processing may occur after order completion depending on service flow. However, all charges are final once processed unless otherwise required by law or explicitly stated in these Terms.

Laundry Central reserves the right to place a temporary hold on orders if payment authorization fails or if additional verification is required.

Discounts, promotions, and offers may not be combined and may be modified or discontinued at any time.


2.2 Possession, Retention & Release of Items (Lien Rights)

All customer items remain in the possession of Laundry Central only for the purpose of providing services.

All orders must be paid in full prior to release or delivery. Laundry Central reserves the right to withhold any completed items until full payment has been successfully processed and verified.

In the event of a failed payment, declined transaction, chargeback, disputed charge, or outstanding balance, Laundry Central retains possession of customer items until all amounts owed, including applicable fees, are paid in full.

Laundry Central may exercise a possessory lien over all customer items in its custody until full payment is received.

Laundry Central is not responsible for delays in release or delivery resulting from unpaid, declined, or unverified transactions.


3. Cancellation, Rescheduling, Logistics & Handling Fees

3.1 Free Cancellation & Rescheduling Window

Customers may cancel or reschedule a pickup or delivery order at no charge if the request is made at least four (4) hours prior to the scheduled pickup window.

Changes made outside of this window may be subject to the fees outlined in this section.


3.2 Late Cancellation (Dispatch-In-Progress)

If an order is canceled within four (4) hours of the scheduled pickup window start time, or at any time after the order has been assigned to a driver or placed into dispatch status, a $25.00 Late Cancellation / Dispatch Fee may apply.

This fee reflects operational costs associated with route planning, driver assignment, scheduling, and dispatch resources reserved for the order.


3.3 Rescheduling Policy (Time-Sensitive Orders)

Rescheduling is permitted; however, the original scheduled pickup time remains in effect for all cancellation and fee eligibility determinations.

If a customer reschedules an order within four (4) hours of the scheduled pickup window or after the order has entered dispatch status, the order remains subject to the original schedule’s cancellation terms. Rescheduling does not reset, waive, or extend the cancellation eligibility window.

Laundry Central reserves the right to treat repeated or pattern-based rescheduling within close proximity to the scheduled pickup time as a Late Cancellation under Section 3.2.


3.4 Missed Pickup / No-Access Fee

If a driver arrives at the pickup location and is unable to complete service due to cancellation upon arrival, no access to items, customer unavailability, refusal of service at the door, or other preventable circumstances, a $15.00 Missed Pickup Fee / “Nothing to Pickup” Fee may apply.


3.5 Post-Pickup Cancellation

If service is canceled after items have been collected, a $25.00 Cancellation & Return Fee will apply. This includes return logistics, handling, and route disruption costs.


3.6 Definition of Dispatch Status

For the purposes of this policy, an order is considered in “dispatch status” when:

  • the scheduled pickup window has begun, or
  • a driver has been assigned and is actively en route or servicing a route containing the order

Once an order is in dispatch status, it is subject to Late Cancellation terms under Section 3.2.


3.7 Abuse Prevention & Service Integrity

Laundry Central reserves the right to enforce additional restrictions in cases of repeated, suspected, or pattern-based abuse of scheduling, cancellation, or rescheduling policies, including but not limited to:

  • requiring prepayment for future orders
  • limiting same-day scheduling availability
  • applying non-refundable scheduling or service fees

These measures are implemented to protect driver availability, maintain route efficiency, and ensure fair access to services for all customers.


3.8 Self-Collection After Dispatch

If a pickup is scheduled and dispatched but the customer later elects to collect items from the store, a $15.00 Handling Fee will apply.


3.9 No-Show / Missed Pickup

If laundry is not available or accessible during the confirmed service window, a $15.00 No-Show Fee will be charged.


3.10 Accessibility & Stair Surcharges

Standard service includes one (1) flight of stairs (up to 15 steps).
An additional $3.00 per additional flight applies beyond the included stair allowance.


3.11 Parking & Gated Access

Customers are responsible for providing safe and legal access to the pickup location. If parking, gate codes, or building access details are not provided or accessible at the time of service, a $15.00 Inaccessible Location Fee may apply.


4. Garment Care & Liability Disclaimer

General Disclaimer

Laundry Central exercises reasonable care in processing garments. However, by using our services, customers acknowledge that machine washing and drying inherently carry risks including, but not limited to:

  • Shrinkage

  • Color fading or bleeding

  • Fabric wear

  • Damage to embellishments

  • Elastic degradation

  • Misshaping

We are not responsible for normal wear and tear or pre-existing damage.

Care Labels & Dry Clean Only

Customers acknowledge that care labels may not be individually reviewed or followed, and that all items are processed according to standard laundering methods unless otherwise requested or separated for special handling. Items labeled “Dry Clean Only” placed in wash-dry-fold service are processed at the customer’s risk.

Assumption of Risk

By submitting garments for service, the customer expressly assumes all risks associated with laundering, including but not limited to shrinkage, fading, fabric distortion, or damage to pre-existing weak or compromised materials.

Pockets & Personal Belongings

It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure all pockets are emptied and garments are free of personal items prior to service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Pens

  • Markers

  • Lighters

  • Batteries

  • Cosmetics

  • Money

  • Jewelry

  • Electronics

It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure all pockets are emptied prior to service. Laundry Central is not liable for loss or damage to items left in clothing or unsecured garments.

Item Count

Wash-dry-fold service is processed by weight, not by individual garment count. We do not guarantee exact item counts per order.

Missing Item Policy

Laundry Central is not responsible for small loose items (socks, undergarments, etc.) not secured in laundry bags.

Liability Cap

In the event of verified loss or damage caused directly by our negligence, Laundry Central’s liability is strictly limited to the lesser of (a) ten (10) times the cleaning cost of the affected item, or (b) $25.00 per order, regardless of brand or replacement value.

Claim Reporting Deadline

Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. Items must remain unwashed and unaltered for inspection.

Failure to report within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the order as delivered.


5. Stain Treatment & Cleaning Expectations

5.1 Stain Removal

We do not guarantee stain removal. Stains that are set-in, aged, previously dried, heat-set, or chemically treated may be permanent and may not respond to standard or enhanced laundering processes.

5.2 Standard Cleaning Service

Our standard service includes one complete processing cycle of washing, drying, and folding using commercial-grade detergent and fabric softener.

This process is designed for everyday laundry care and general soil removal. However, certain odors, stains, or heavily soiled items may require additional or specialized treatment.

5.3 Enhanced Cleaning & Add-On Services

For items requiring additional odor control, deeper cleaning, or enhanced freshness, customers may request optional add-ons such as:

  • Laundry Sanitizer treatment
  • Oxi Boost / enhanced cleaning additives
  • Scented or premium fabric softener options
  • Additional wash cycles or specialty treatment (if available upon request)

These services are not automatically included in standard processing and must be selected or requested in advance when possible.

5.4 Soil Level & Special Handling Policy

To ensure consistent cleaning standards, accurate pricing, and proper garment care, all items are processed based on their condition at the time of intake, including soil level, moisture level, and handling requirements.

5.5 Standard Soil Level

Laundry is assumed to be in a standard soiled condition (typical daily wear). Standard processing includes washing with detergent and fabric softener as part of our normal service.

5.6 Heavily Soiled, Odor-Prone, or Hygienically Sensitive Items

Items that are heavily soiled, carry strong odors (including sweat, smoke, mildew, or bodily fluids), or require additional hygiene attention may require enhanced processing. This may include extended wash cycles, additional drying time, or special handling procedures to maintain cleanliness standards.

We strongly recommend selecting our Laundry Sanitizer add-on for these items. While standard detergent and fabric softener are effective for everyday laundry, sanitizer treatment provides enhanced odor control and improved hygienic cleaning for more demanding loads.


6. Hygiene, Contamination & Biohazards

Refusal of Service

Laundry Central reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at its sole discretion, including but not limited to safety, sanitation, operational capacity, or suspected policy abuse.

For employee safety, we reserve the right to refuse service for items that are:

  • Heavily contaminated with bodily fluids

  • Saturated with urine, feces, vomit, or blood

  • Infested with bed bugs, fleas, roaches, or other pests

  • Mold-contaminated

Biohazard Handling Fee

Contaminated orders will be returned unprocessed and subject to a $50.00 Biohazard Handling Fee.

Pet Items

Pet bedding must be shaken free of excessive hair and debris prior to service.


7. Pickup & Delivery Risk Transfer

Laundry left in unsecured areas (porches, apartment lobbies, garages, concierge desks, etc.) is left at the customer’s risk.

Laundry Central is not responsible for theft, weather damage, or third-party interference before pickup or after delivery.

Risk transfers to the customer once items are delivered to the agreed location.


8. Unclaimed & Abandoned Property

Completed orders not picked up within 7 days may incur storage fees.

Orders unclaimed after 15 days will be considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of at Laundry Central’s discretion without further liability.


9. Facility Rules & Customer Conduct

Operating Hours

Open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Last wash must begin by 10:00 PM.

Customer Conduct

For safety and comfort:

  • No smoking or vaping inside the facility.

  • No illegal substances.

  • No aggressive, disruptive, or abusive behavior toward staff or customers.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises and suspension of services.


10. Force Majeure

Laundry Central shall not be liable for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Power outages

  • Equipment failure

  • Severe weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Supply chain disruptions


11. Commercial Accounts

Commercial customers are subject to separate written Service Agreements. In the event of conflict, the signed commercial agreement governs.


12. Agreement to Terms

By using Laundry Central’s services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

Laundry Central reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms. Where required by law, notice may be provided via website or email.
